Lightbulb Is this a wild betta?

So yeah, the title says it all, I just wonder if this is a species of betta. This fish have the characteristics of a betta like, occasionally breathing in the surface, have stress stripes (before), slow swimmer, flaring (no pics though), have betta appearance. Take note that this is a wild caught one and there is plenty of this fish in our local swamp/pond/river (like you'll see at least one of this in every shallow spot). And by the way, I'm from the Philippines, advance thanks guys!!!

Look closely on his anal fin:

Then his caudal:

And sorry for the blurry picture, Samsung Champ is Samsung Champ..

Um, I kinda doubt that you would find a wild betta in the Philippines. Also, your fish looks a loot like a tadpole. Maybe it's just the angle or the lighting though.

Edit: never mind on the tadpole thing, I can see his/her tail.

Actually, wild bettas can be found in the Philippines. I know because, I'm from there. ^.^ It's also pretty close with Thailand, even if there's a big saltwater ocean in the way. lol I found some when I visited a muddy grass paddy.

I agree with Setsuna that this is not a wild betta. The body shape and dorsal is off, and are there even any ventral fins?

Be interesting to find out what it is though.

Kind of looks like a young Killifish...which are very similar to wild type Betta's except differences in water chemistry.
