Well I'm slowly but surely getting supplies. I bought another 10g tank and a valve... I still have a little research to do. I looked for hm female at petco didn't have any... and the ct males didn't look healthy enough... I'd like opinions on the best food to feed the fry from the moment they can eat until 1 mth.
I haven't found much info (unless I looked over it accidentally) on what to do with the fry once they start swimming to the time they are suppose to be separated so that info would be nice.thank you all

Try this thread: Fry Foods and Feeding

In my country many breeders start with egg yolk then BBS until they are big enough to eat newly hatched daphnia. After 2 months, they start other foods.

Micro worms is a good start, though the bacteria it carries may cause missing ventrals. Then shift to BBS . . . . and so on. A mix of different food is best - it will provide better nutrition.

Read this to give you better idea on mixing tail types: http://www.bettafish.com/showthread.php?t=99625

I do not think Petco/Petsmart sells HM females.. never seen one and have yet to hear of someone getting one from them.

Bbs is baby brine shrimp. You buy both cultures online (well, you buy the microworms culture, you buy bbs eggs and culture them yourself).

There are a ton of videos on Youtube. Just type in "Baby Brine Shrimp Hatchery" and they come up. Here is just an example of one:

Not sure where in the US to source BBS. You could try ebay, an online aquarium store, fellow breeder or an actual LFS. The hatch rate and quality of the eggs will vary so be careful.
