This is a teeny tiny "beetle" looking critter in my planted 10g tank. It scurries in and out the of the gravel. I finally got a pic of one from the water I took after a change. It's about the size of a sesame seed.
Hard to tell, but I THINK it's a "seed shrimp", or Ostracoda. If so, it can actually be beneficial by eating all the yuckies in your tank. I'll research and let you know what I find. If it is a seed shrimp, I've never seen that color before.
They CAN be, but I don't think you really need to try to get rid of it. They can actually be really good for the tank because they clean throughout the substrate. Ultimately though, Your tank, Your choice.
