I know bettas don't get lonely but...

Sushi isn't happy. he was fine in the 2 gallon bowl, but he was out in the living room with more people i guess. Now he is in the 5 gallon *filter turned off since he is such a brat* in my room. He does seem to be happier and isn't always hiding and is swimming around much more, but he still doesn't look happy. He will kinda hang around the top of his cave when i come in. But, yesterday i was cleaning my room (took 4 hours! but i washed and vacumed and changed sheets and all...) he was following me around and watching me and just seem much happier *minus when i vacummed. he didn't like that*

So i am thinking maybe he would like a companion...? i think i am going to try a shrimp, and then if i can get him used to a filter, or find a better filter... maybe a few tetras? he really does seem much more active and excited when someone is in the room...?

lol, oh and Surimi is perfecting begging now... lol, whenever i walk in the room he goes up to where the lid is *a little section opens up so you can drop food in* and he will flare up at me, then stare up at the little hole... and then swim around the tank, and resume looking at the hole... it makes me laugh every time! lol
