Wierd slimy stuff

Okay well I changed Elvis' water. When i was taking his decorations out to clean and replace, wierd slimy kinda stuff was on them. I saw it on the stones too. Is that some kinda algae? Or something else? It was yucky. I would love for him to have a filter, but no more plugs! Unless he goes without a light, but then he be in the dark all the time and thats no good. Any ideas? TY!

Hmm, I have no idea what it could be. I have Jaden in an unfiltered tank and I've never had that problem.

Hmmm...well i read online just now its prolly slime algae and can be hard to get rid of once started. Darn it. Maybe keep his light off see if that helps any. Ill probably have to do a 100% change and scrub it. This sucks. LOL

Yeah...mom turns it on early (shes up way early lol) and tends to leave it on till she goes up to bed. So i leave it off for awhile then,do a 100% i think, then tell her no leave light on long! LOL or she can clean it next time...which she wont...so she will listen haha...

He's in an uncycled tank right? Just do a 100% water change. It'll be less stressful than no light or food. You really do need to do 100% changes on uncycled tanks anyway...believe me, I thought I could just do partials on my temporary QT tanks and it didn't work at all.
