is this duckweed??

Yesterday I bought my first plant (moneywort) and Today I found these liitle leaves floating at the surface!! I'm hoping it's duckweed because I want a floating plant but I'm not sure if it is or not... If you can't tell from the picture there are 2 leaves... I might be able to get a better picture later but I have a dr appointment at 10 so it'll have to be after that...

does anybody know how long it will take to cover the surface? I have a 3g critter keeper! I just checked again and so far no new leaves but I've heard that sometimes you won't see any new but then it just explodes and can cover the surface in a few days!

My mom came to look at my fish and she found a few more leaves!! I can't believe I can actually keep something alive!! I hope I have enought for all of my tanks soon!! My moneywort has already shown some signs of new growth!! I might try to get some java fern soon!! I'll have to come up with a way to raise some money tho because my mom has to pay for my school books and volleyball stuff so my aquarium stuff is in the back burner but I'll live!!
