Flaring -too- much?

hey everyone !
so keep on noticing that lucifer is almost ALWAYS flaring at his reflection, in the same corner of his tank. well.. at least i think its his reflection hes flaring at. my other betta maximus is in a differnt tank right on that side too, but i dont think they can see eachother.
should i move maximus so lucifer cant see him?
is this normal?
is it stressin him out?
he seems to be calm right now, but before he was constantly flaring.
oh and now he goes again. lol.

Well, try to cover the area with cardboard where he seems to be seeing the reflecion and see if he stops. My fish used to flare a lot at a corner but a few days later he seemed to relize the fish isn't there. If he did it too much it could stress him out a bit. How long has he been in that tank?

Ok, well, how long have you noticed him flaring? Has it been a while or has he just started?

If The fish is new to the situation then use card board to give him a break, Otherwise at lights out they calm down.
For my males all in a row, tanks touching, I don't use cardboard after a few weeks, It's fun and excitement for them.. I don't bother with blockage unless its a new betta,

Yeah, just keep an eye on him. I think they'll just ignore each other after awhile.
