Sorry tohear you lost you betta. It had so much going on, I did not even know what to suggest for treatment. At least it is out of its misery! RIP betta.

Thank you for all the help everyone is offering here!
I'm going to make sure I get a nice healthy Betta this time around.
I scrubbed the tank and all and it's drying.
When I first fill it, I probably will let it sit for a few days.
Will putting an airstone in during this time be okay as to not let any water sit?
I'm going to put a small filter in as well but not until I get my fish.

I think that you might want to hold off on any more fish till u can get the proper care for ur oscar and goldfish. common goldfish get up to 18 inches, and fancy golfish usually get around 8-10 inches. Oscars grow HUGE and need atleast 55g to support them. please google goldfish care, and tiger oscar care to see what you come up with.

Goldfish: A Guide for Proper Care and Living Environment This is a very good sight on goldfish care

Oscars - Tiger Oscar Fish Care - B-Bay Aquariums here is some good info on oscars. sorry to be rude...

I know how to take care of my fish, veganchick.
They are still juviniles and I have tanks being set up as we speak.
I always do my research before purchasing a fish.
(Although, Poe was a last-minute decision at the petstore.)
My fish are in the proper homes for their sizes at the moment.
Tanks are all getting cleaned today.
I cleaned Bill's and another one gallon I have yesterday and
I'm going to use those today to hold my goldfish and oscar
while I clean their tanks.

Ok, as long as you have a 55g for the oscar and a 20g for the goldfish
