A Good Match?

Okay so now that I finally have a bigger place I want to try breeding my betta fish. Yes I have done lots of research and know it's a lot of work and time but it's almost winter here so I'll have six months with nothing to do but be cooped up inside all day lol. Here is the pair that I purchased off of aquabid, do you think it is a good match?

Here is the male

Omg that male is beautiful ! It also depends on the quality of the fish ( fins ) but I don't know much about quality maybe other members will soon post a comment

I would have looked for a female with more complete dragon scaling(or opaque-ness) but I think they are a nice start. Good luck with them!

I just really liked the fact that they were similar in colour. I don't know much about genetics yet. I thought I would start by finding a colour I liked and then going from there.

Also from the pictures the bodies looked pretty good, no major spine problems or anything like that. I'm hoping that they look just as good in real life. I hate waiting for aquabid purchases sigh...

Oh what kind is he? I really love halfmoon plakats and have always had the best luck with them. Also I find their personalities are really quirky. The one I have now I think was a cat in his other life, he is always very affectionate and craves attention like nobody's business. You definately know when he is mad at you that's for sure LOL.
