Exclamation Urgent! Fish Jumped

I keep Castiel's tank above my dog's bed and he jumped out of it today. I have no idea how, but I am definitely keeping a cover on from know on. The problem is his head is covered in dog hair and dust. It seems that it's wrapped around his head and I have no idea what to do. He's breathing hard and clamped, but seems to be able to get air.

The fuzz and dust will eventually fall off. He will be breathing hard for a little while; he couldn't breathe well for however long he was out of the tank, so he's bound to be freaking out and clamped up. The best thing to do right now is just wait, as much as it pains you to do so.

I hope he's feeling better soon!

Lol. I have dried oak leaves that were already in his tank, because he was recovering from taking care of fry. X] Thanks, he's starting to look a bit better :)

I know, it's stressful, for both you and your fish. My fish jumped out of a tiny opening in his tank a month or so back. He passed later that day, but that's because I got to him a little too late :( And stressed him out even more by contantly worrying over him.

As long as Castiel was still wet, or even damp, when you found him, he should be fine ^-^

Yeah he was. I had just finished feeding him and was going to feed my guinea pig when my mom told me one of my fish was flopping around x]

I hope he'll be fine. Just listen to the other members and giving him warm clean water. Also, he's probably extremely scared right now so maybe you could cover his tank with a dark towel? They feel less scared and stressful in the dark.

He was completely back to normal by this morning. I just added some plastic wrap over his tank to make it easier for him to breath:)
