Exclamation New Tank

Okay so tomorrow I am going to purchase a 10 gallon tank. I would like to know what all I will be needing for this. I know the tank (of course :) ), gravel, pump maybe a heater... I have decor from my previous tank along with a light. What else would I need to meet the necessary requirements of keeping my fish happy and healthy :)

This is the tank I am currently using(don't make fun, I am only 17 and am on a tight budget)

You can look on PetSmart.com or Petco.com and look at all the different ones they have including price ranges. But I'm going to say, for a 10 gal, the the lowest price will be about $15 or $20. You may be able to find a cheaper one on ebay though.

I found my heater at my lps, but the same ones are on Amazon for a similar price. its the Elite adjustable heater, 50 watts, and it hangs on the back/side. less than twenty bucks.
don't do a preset heater, they kinda suck.

also get a good filter! Sponge filters work great.

I have a few preset heaters for my smaller tanks, and they aren't too bad, as long as I don't need to raise or lower the temp for any reason.

What is that stick man thing in his tank? Is that orange duct tape? Lol

Don't forget a tank hood, if it doesn't come with it, because Bettas can jump out of their tank! I saw that for the first time today during a WC. Luckily she didn't get out of the tank, but I literally took the lid off, and she started jumping...like she had her escape planned haha.

Lol, yes it is orange duct tape. unfortunately, I could not afford the heater, however my house is almost always around 80 degrees so I should be good for a while.
