My daughter (and I) cried on and off as we lost our VT male, Rooster, this week. Grief takes many forms... but my little one's comfort was to get a new fish. We visited a few shops, and didn't "connect" with any of the fish, but today I went in to get a new tank ornament for the remaining betta, and we saw "Edwin."
He's huge. Probably 2.5" or so. And he was in the smallest plastic cup I've every seen. 1/2 cup of water, tops. The store employee said that he had been in the store "about a month," but didn't know his age. So, no idea how old he is.
He was labeled as a Platinum HMPK. I guess that seems about right. Agree? Disagree?
Also... any concerns/ideas about the "clumping" where his anal fin meets his body?
