Exclamation Fin Rot Meds

So I have a betta who had fin rot a couple of weeks ago. I did the standard aquarium salt procedure and I thought I got rid of it. Unfortunately, I came back from choir camp today and saw that his fins were half of what they were. So, I went to the pet store and got Melafix. I know that this can be extremely dangerous for bettas so I would like some advice on the dosage for his tank, its 1.5 gallons.
Thanks so much for any input!

It is strongly recommended that you do not use any medicine with "fix" in it. Even so, if you want one of those Fix meds, you need to get BettaFix. But still not recommended.

I treated fin rot with daily water changes but it was very mild.

If its not severe, just add a little stress coat to the water and keep the water pristine and it will go away on its own. You don't need to use aquarium salt, and please do not subject your Betta to Melafix. Its dangerous and unnecessary.
