Unhappy sick baby!?

My baby boy is on the bottom of his tank on his side like he cant swim! I tried moving him but he stays on his side kind of face dow. I put him in a shallow container to help him try to breathe. Any advice?? :\

I'd do an immediate water change, if you haven't already. I have never dealt with this myself, so I dunno how to help you. But maybe there's just too much ammonia in the tank.

Do you always use AQ salt? It is not supposed to be used for more than 14 consecutive days. I am relatively new to bettas, so I don't want to give advice that isn't helpful, but I think that laying on its side can possibly be a sign of swim bladder. Also, do you acclimate your fish to the new water slowly? If something is different about the water that could hurt the fish. There are some sticky notes at the top of each forum that offer a lot of helpful advice.

If its swim bladder you need epsom salt, that relieves fluid build up and helps with constipation. Also if you're feeding freeze dried bloodworm they can cause swim bladder problems.

I have a baby of my own, I would recommend a larger tank with a heater depending on the water temp, and several feedings a day of smaller meals.

Aww I'm sorry :( Babies can be kind of a pain, they're usually runts, or have deformities so they're immune system is compromised when you get them so any little thing can get them sick if they aren't already. Take mine for instance, he's prone to constipation because he has a bent spine, that's why I knew about the epsom salt because sometimes he needs to have it.
