Is this female a good mate for my Mustard?

Hello everyone! I've recently purchased a male mustard betta, and I'm looking for a mustard female to eventually breed with him. I will post pictures of the female and the male below. The male has already been purchased, and the female has not. Thanks for your input!

Male:

Female:

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think both of those qualify as rosetails, which is not recommended to be bred together because it is a deformity. They are lovely fish, though!

PS: The female is a bicolor. A mustard gas is a specific coloration that has a solid blue body, then yellow fins with a blue butterfly band around them. Again, someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Mustard Gas is technically not a real thing - one person coined it for his spawn many years back and people followed suite :P

Neither are rose - the male has excess fins, but not too bad, he is still breedable.
The female has a little long anal, but it's not going to cause too much trouble as the male's is pretty even. So you may get some babies with slightly overlarge anals and you can just make sure to breed the ones that are more even for the F2s.

Not taking into considering the parents of the two fish which can pop up in a spawn with their colors/genes, you'll get a mix of both the male and female in the spawn. You may end up with more like the mother, but you'll probably get a few like dad and if you like his coloring better, then breed the female of the babies that looks more like the dad back to the dad to try to get more of him.

I was also looking at this fish. her anal doesn't look quite as long as the other female to me, but I'm no expert.

Have you asked the seller if he has any sibling females left that would be a good match for him? That might be your best option....

^^ always ask the seller if they have a similar sibling.

If not.. either of the females will do. The caudal of the first female is not as round, but the second girl still has really nice fins and will most likely give you more babies that look closer to the father than the first girl. I honestly would go with the second girl..

I really liked the color on the second girl, so I went ahead and got her, because I want the babies to look as close to the father as possible, he's stunning! Thanks for the help!
