Will assassin snails eat baby pond snails?

I'm having trouble controlling this pond snail outbreak.

I've heard that assassin snails can help but do they only hunt bigger snails?

I usually remove the bigger ones as I see them and I won't get assassin's if I have to let the pond snails get big before they'll be eaten.

I think it depends on the snail. I had one that was surrounded by small baby pond and ramshorn snails but it died. I think it probably died from starvation because I saw it trying to eat a baby ramshorn couldn't do it . I did however see it able to eat bloodworms

from what I have noticed is they eat snails about 1/2 their size to 2x their size which is fine if you have a mix of sizes but if they are all big they will wait for small snail to be big enough to be worth eating....

Thanks for the help, everyone. I purchased 3 and I've already witnessed 2 assassinations. Hopefully my snail problem will be under control soon.

They shall be called Altair, Ezio, and Connor. If I decide that more are needed, they will be called Aveline and Desmond xD

The internet doesn't do these snails justice. They're actually really pretty.

Oh my goodness, more will not be needed. The death toll has risen to 7.

I do feel a little bad, but I figure that getting them under control will result in less deaths in the long run.

Assassins will not only get them under control, they will wipe them out....at least mine did. Now I put frozen bloodworms in places the Bettas can't reach with a long pair of aquascaping tweezers.
