Should I fight for him?

I thought I had this fish but I did not understand. Now it looks like a bidding war. Not sure if the fish is worth it. I love his color but would he be good to breed?
What do you think of him? should I just let him go?

This is the female I have on the way from the same breeder.

Would these 2 be good to breed together?

I have no idea about which ones are good to breed but if you really like the fish and have a few extra dollars than I would say do what you feel you want to do. He's awesome looking by the way

I am not a breeder but I think his colors are really nice and he doesn't seem like your "normal" betta. Would be nice to have.

I like his color. I might be crazy but his tail looks trimmed to me?? I was warned about this once before that it is fairly common to trim fins on Thai fish.

Yes I thought his tail looked weird too. It does look like it was cut. Why would they trim it? Will the trim help it look better when it grows in more. Or is it to trick buyers ?

Trimmed? Are you kidding me? Why would they do that, to make him more appealing?

I think he's a neat fish! If you like him, fight for him.

I did a little research on trimming fins. Breeders will do it if the fish got badly nipped fins during breeding. Trimming the fins can help it heal up better. Some will do it if the fish had fin rot. Maybe he had some fin damage and the breeder trimmed it up so it would heal up better.
