i just got my awesome betta fish but i dont no if its a boy or girl how do i find out? and im wondering what size of gallon tank i should get him hes in a 1.5 right now. Would a 5 gallon tank be big enough to fit a male and female in together? i heard that male and male would fight so im not doing that lol. And ya sorry abou the questions i just want someone to help me out thanks so much :)

First of all, your betta is a male. Males have long, flowing fins. A 5 gallon would be fine but putting a male and female together is not. Bettas are territorial and will fight.You could divide a 5 gallon, giving them each 2.5 gallons to live in.Feel free to ask more questions if you need to. Welcome to the forum.

Is that a picture of your fish? dramaqueen is right if it is, but I wasn't too sure if that was your fish or not.

ya it is my fish lol umm what does a bubble nest look like ....a whole lotta bubbles around the tank ? :S

can yoou buy tank dividers for a 5 gallon at walmart??

Yep, I would think they sell them there. If not, try Petsmart. I saw a few there when I went to my local Petsmart last night.

A bubblenest looks kind of foamy and the bubbles are all together but sometimes they are scattered around the tank?bowl.
