Marbling or....

So I know about Betta's marbling and stuff, but I just wanted to make sure that's what this is.
My betta started out as a black and red dragon betta, super pretty.
It's been two weeks since I got him, and he's developed a kind of green shimmer on him, not unhealthy looking really, but it's like something you'd see on one of the classic blue veil tails you know? (He's a halfmoon by the way)
Anyway I can post pictures but I wanted to make sure this isn't a symptom of something awful. Velvet is supposed to look gold, but this is definitely a blue-green color.

A pic would definitely help. Based on your description it sounds like his normal coloring.

Before/ when I first got him he looked like this

Now he looks like this:

Sorry for the low-res images. It's also not a huge change, but it's big enough that I thought I'd ask and make sure anyway

Ah, yup, that looks to me just like more of his natural color coming in and developing. Its not necessarily marbling, its more like them coming into their true colors once they're finally out of those horrible, cold, dirty cups and in something clean, spacious, and warm. Its not at all unusual for bettas to become darker and brighter after a few days at home. :)

He was an impulse buy because he was really healthy compared to the other ones and I just couldn't let him sit there in those cups until all his beautiful strength got sucked away by how awful other people treat these guys. He isn't my first betta so I was confident I could take better care of him. Isn't he just beautiful? I'm kind of sad to see his darker colors go, but I'm happy that he's much healthier now. Thank you guys!

I actually enjoy seeing how they're colors change. I have one right now that looked like he had white fins but after almost 2 weeks they're actually the palest blue/green & are getting some darker coloration in areas. Enjoy you're happy healthy Betta!!!

thank you.
One more thing, could feeding him betta min have contributed? I didn't realize until I looked yesterday that it has those weird color enhancers. I usually trust tetra to get the job done, but could color enhancers be the culprit?

I don't think color enhancers do much I think that's more of an advertising ploy to get people to purchase the food. A Bettas coloring will change depending on their health, age, type of Betta & living conditions. Some of mine have change colors drastically while others have changed little.
