Question Filter type

I have a 5 gallon eclpise tank. and was wondering is that filter too powerful for my betta? should I not have a filter in there? there doesnt seem to be much water motion from the filter.

If its not creating much motion in the water then There really is nothing to worry about,
A 5 gallon tank or above should have a filter in it and be cycled, But it's really not necessary for a lone betta,
As long as you do partial water changes at least once a week, There shouldn't be enough toxic build up in that short a time to worry about,
So a filter would really be a personal preference thing
