Successful Snail Shipment!

I just had to share my excitement. I just shipped my first snails (Mystery), and they made it alive. I was so nervous I was going to do something wrong an kill them off. Load off my shoulders. I still have a lot of them to rehome (so if anyone is looking let me know). I thought I could tell the colors, but I can't I know they are a mix of blue and black, but what looks blue in the tank... looks black in my hands. So, at this point.. I can't promise certain colors.

Does anyone else feel that sense of accomplishment when the animals they ship arrive alive? I know most people on here are pros and ship all the time, but it was still pretty exciting for me.

I still have a tank full of babies, and then three adults. So, no. But, I'm not familiar with bladder snails, what are they?

I will admit, hatching out these babies was super fun, but very exhausting. Especially, because I don't have a filter in that tank. So, I've been doing 25%-50% water changes each day on it. And, I had to go get air hosing because the gravel vacuum was sucking them up. So, it takes forever with the air hose. But, it's worth it. They are pretty darn cute. I won't let another clutch hatch, but I'm glad I did this time. If I can't find them homes, then they'll just get spread out among my other tanks. I'm starting to get some bigger ones. I'm working on setting up a 20 g NPT, and now I'm eying a 75 G for another NPT.

Haha I can sum up bladder snails with 4 words: PAIN IN THE ASS. They breed like rabbits and don't stop. They can become a huge pest if population isn't controlled.

Aww... Poor snails, they are a PITA, and they have an ugly name (bladder, is not the most attractive sounding name). I have a pond snail infestation in a tank, but I have learned to go with the flow of it.

I'm fairly sure bladder snail is another name for pond snails.

Now you kinda know what being a betta breeder is like... Well, water changes wise.

I was happy that the MTS we sent off last week made it.

TXBetta, I have some snail away or rid a snail... something like that, I don't plan on using it.
