I'm about to go get my third betta.

Tonight I'm going to go to petsmart. I was there a few days ago and saw a small female that I really loved but didn't get. So if she's still there tonight I'm going to get her. I will also be buying her tank tonight. I'm planning on getting a 2.5 gallon for her. I was wondering if I should wait on getting a filter and heater. She's only about this big ------, so I think a filter would be really hard on her. My other tank is 5 gallons. It has a mini heater that raises temp about 5 degrees, and it's at about 84. Also how long should I wait before putting her in the tank?

I always put mine in their new homes immediately upon getting them home and their tank ready,
Dispose of all the old water they came with and give 100% fresh and new.
