What are some of the best ideas to start with when trying to solve a diatom problem? I have read that one cause is excessive light. I do turn my aquarium light on before I leave for work and it stays on for at least 15 hours, so perhaps this may be the cause, and turning it off earlier will solve the problem. I'd just like to know if anyone has had this experience and found a solution that worked.
