Treating Water

I purchased SafeStart Plus and have never used it before. We have always just used Aquasafe Aquarium Conditioner when starting up our tanks. So was wondering if I need to use the water conditioner with the SafeStart Plus? And how much of it do I use? I have a very small aquarium, 1.5 gallons.

SafeStart: http://www.tetra-fish.com/Products/a...-bacteria.aspx

and what I used to use AquaSafe Water Conditioner: http://www.tetra-fish.com/Products/a...nditioner.aspx

Thanks,

Safe Start is basically a bottle of beneficial bacteria to help start up the cycle in your tank. Whereas Conditioners remove chlorine, chloramine's, ammonia and heavy metals from your tap water so they are two different things.

So when you first start up a tank, use Safe Start and it will help to cycle your tank but when you add water you need to always use a Conditioner like AquaSafe.
