OP, why not print off this thread and send it to the manufacturer? It may be the beginning of the end...which needs to happen.

Purely speaking 8 lb bear is pretty doggone dangerous for a little kid. And we haven't even begun talking about what it's teaching the child regarding animals.

Wasn't it in the 1600-1700s that the monied women wore a tiny birdcage WITH BIRD inside their wigs, for looks? Reminds me of that.

Oh boy. My three year old has her own betta in her room, in a 5.5 gallon tank. She helps me with water changes, (carefully) helps me feed him, she knows to be very gentle and not touch the tank/water. (Though she does smooch on ghe glass, lol) Now when we're in the pet store she will look at a plant and say "not that one, that's too scratchy!"

There's a right and wrong way to teach children about caring for pets, and this bear is SO wrong.
