I`m keeping an eye on him to make sure all is ok. I went back to the LFS today to get a barrel decoration that will hopefully give Lamai something more to hide in if that`s what makes him feel more secure. I spoke to one of the lads who work there and he suggested planting the back of the tank with some dense plants and that will hopefully encourage Lamai into the front of the tank a bit......mystifies me though as he wants to hide and dense planting will just give him more reason to stay at the back of the tank surely? There were some other fighters which came into the LFS at the same time as Lamai, some are very active, flaring at all the other fish around them but a few are very much acting in the same way as Lamai, fins close to the body, nose to the corner and to the top of the water so maybe it`s a stress thing, I`m not sure
Anyway, I bought a few dense plants and have put them in the tank, did a 50% water change while I was sorting it all out. Lamai has been having a good look around his tank, flaring at everything that`s new......then proceeded to hide amongst the plants!! lol
He still hasn`t eaten anything but I`ll definately be keeping an eye on him to make sure he`s ok. Fingers crossed!
