i use amquel and novaqua. similar to prime,it binds the ammonia. messes up api liquid test kits though for ammonia. only thing that sucks about it.

What I'm wanting to know is if I should switch to Prime because my tanks are uncycled.

Yeah, I've heard it smells like rotten rggs. Does it make your tank smell? I'm kind of concerned about leaving my water unchanged while I'm gone for 2 weeks. I thought the Prime might cut down a bit on ammonia.

I think I'll buy Prime next time I go to Petsmart. The guy at the other place I go to said don't switch if what I'm using is working ok.

I have used proquatics for about 7 years now. It prevents ammonia!! So its great...Try it.
