Finally....Chimlin is back in a decorated tank!!

Yayyyyy, Chimlin is finally back in a decorated tank after his ich/whitespot treatment.

He`s having great fun investigating....strange how you can tell when a fish is happier

I`ve decided to go with an Egyptian vase this time, I`ve spent ages looking on the net trying to find an Egyptian themed background for his tank to complete the look. I think it still looks a bit bare, I guess it needs more plants. (I may even change the gravel for black sand...not sure yet tho)

Does anyone have any idea where I could get an Egyptian themed background that won`t cost a fortune?? (bearing in mind I`m in the UK)

Your tank looks very nice!
I think just a plain black background would work.
It would really bring out the different colors in your tank and make the betta glow.

you can draw one or print one of the computer and laminate it!

I just put black sand in one of my tanks and i'm doing the other one tomorrow. It looks pretty cool and so far seems cleaner than the stones I was using. I bet it would look really neat with that face.

I did wonder if either a plain background or the option of printing a photo of the Pyramids from our holiday to Egypt might work, may just give that a go later on. The black sand is definitely something I`d like to go with.

I felt like a kid at Christmas knowing i could get Chimlin back in his tank, it`s been pitiful seeing him in an empty tank being treated.
Bet he didn`t give a stuff though really

I got one of my themed backgrounds at a scrapbook store. They have every paper you could imagine, plus it's cheap. I'm not sure if they have them in the UK though.

If you just want a plain black background you can use construction paper. Sounds weird but I used it for a while and it really looked cool. But, yeah, scrapbooking paper comes in all different styles and pictures, so that could definitely work too.
