i just cleaned cosmos tank! however the thermometer is saying the tank is 90 something degrees... AGH anyway I can try to cool the tank down fast? right now i've got cosmo in one of those cup things from when i first got him...

To cool down the water, someone said you can put ice cubes in a ziploc baggy and float it in your tank. Just keep an eye on the temp so it doesn't get too low.

If your fish is not in the tank still why don't you just change out some of the water for cooler water. Then you'll need to acclimate your fish into the tank by floating his cup or bag for 20 minutes or so.

why goodness i never thought of that LOL... though i used tap water and conditioned it already... so wouldn't that mess it up?

I never thought of that either.lol I don't think it will mess up anything if its dechlorinated.

Just condition the new water you put in. You should be fine.

I'm cheap so I would just float icecubes in a bag so you don't waste any conditioner.

What about ice packs? Are ice packs acceptable?

I'm trying to plan ahead for the summer. Our summers get just sweltering, and my apartment (both the one I'm in now, and the one I'm moving into) face west, so they're going to get super warm during the day. I don't want my boys to cook. O_O
