my beta is sick! can anyone help???

my beta has been sick for almost a month now. He has not been eating and floats at the top on his side or on the bottom of his tank with his head in the rocks. Also, he tends to move around the tank really fast and then just kinda falls back down to the bottom. I think he may just be sick and wanna know if there is anything i can do to save him???? =(

I'm far from an expert so take my advice with a grain of salt. It could be Ich. What I've seen as a suggestion around here to use for Betta issues is Jungle Fungus Eliminator. Also, I think I've seen things at the pet store for Ich.
Also, I've read a lot around here that keeping the tank clean and using aquarium salts can do wonders.
What size tank? How often is it cleaned?

Try just keeping the tank clean (100% water change everyday!)
And adding salt into the water. (found at Petco, Petsmart, or Wal Mart)

If it was ich, he would have white stuff on him like he was sprinkled with salt.

That sounds very time consuming.

Well, if you care enough about your pets you'll do all you can to help them.
