Tiny Female ...

Hey Everyone!
I rescued a tiny tiny female from one of the stores here that didn't look too good ... anyway she is very very small... maybe only just over an inch long if that... I have put her in a 1g bowl that I have here for now (all I have left until I buy another seeing my other spare tank broke ) but she seems quite happy in it... I put a heater in it and change the water daily... she seems to be doing great in this bowl... I figure she should be ok in this until she grows... *if* she grows...
Any thoughts?

I think she'll be just fine until you get her something else later on.Just keep up with water changes. :) She sounds cute.

If the bowl is at least a gallon it will work just fine.

iFish - yes, a 30 gallon gives your betta lots of room. With that much space you could even divide the tank a couple times to hold several bettas, or you could build a community tank.

30g?? that Beta will be very happy :)
just make sure you have propeer lighting, filtration, etc. and post pics!

Good lord, 30g, you should try to make a big female betta sorority. My petstore gets alot of those tiny little females, everytime I see them I want to buy them all because their so cute. She should grow she probably just young.

My mom even offered to buy me one because she liked her. Sadly I declined because Im trying to breed.

She seems to be doing good in the 1g but I will change here into something a little bigger soon....

One tip: Daily water changes are VERY stressful, maybe every 3 days would be better.

Yeah now I'm doing them every second day when I do my other 2.5g tanks... she has grown quite a lot so she needs to be moved I think......I now have a spare 3g so I'm going to put her in that...I can't believe how much she has grown ...
