I'm not sure what to do with Storm.

I've had Storm for a few months and planned and wanted to keep him, but I have enough bettas as it is and I will not be able to take care of him for much longer.

I am going to college soon and do not have the room in my dorm to take him with me, but even though I will be home on the weekends, I can't ask my mom to go into my closet(it is much warmer in there and I don't have an extra heater) feed him and change the water every other day(he is in a two gallon with no filter). I would make a post on the classifieds, but I do not yet have 100 posts, and I would not be sure how to send him in the mail anyway. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to take him, or if someone could explain exactly how shipping works and how much it would cost.

Here is a video for anyone who wants to see him better. His tail fin looks a bit odd because he had a fin biting incident which has not been repeated, though it is taking longer to grow back than expected it is definitely not fin rot.

Try to find someone in your area. It would make it easier on you, and they may be wiling to make the trip (or meet you halfway) to adopt him :)

That's a good idea, although I'd rather give him to someone on the forums if that doesn't work out I guess I could place an ad on craigslist. But I'm just not so sure that the responses I may get may be from people who actually know how bettas need to be taken care of, or willing to take care of him the way they need, even if I ask them the right questions and they give the right answers. Or maybe I just worry too much.

Oh,. I'm in Biloxi Mississippi, near Gulfport. If I drove to meet someone I'd be willing to drive about an hour or an hour and a half out of the way, maybe a little more.

I live in Aberdeen, MS.. Going to Tuscaloosa, AL at the end of this week. I think I'd have plenty of room for another 2-3 gal.

Awh! My boyfriend lives in Gulfport. I was visiting him last week, and could have totally picked up Storm! Sadly I'm back in TX now, but I'm sure you will find your boy a wonderful new home!

Thanks for your help, Sena. I was a little worked up about it and you calmed me down.

It's too bad I didn't post earlier then bettabumx, but I've been messaging GingaHaZ and we are going to work something out.

Awesome! Figured you would find someone... This place is so diverse it's great. I found a few people close by to me as well who have some of my stock, and supplies.
