I am heading to Petco sometime today to get some new friends for my crowntail because he is depressed now that all of his tankmates have died.
The tank is clean and cycled, no more platy diseases in there!
I have been researching oto catfish as his next tank mate. I was planning to get maybe 3 of them for the ten gallon aquarium. The only problem is that I can't get live plants. Maybe I could get a few moss balls, but my dad does not want any live plants in the tank. I'm going to look for sand and some tree limb like driftwood to give the tank a makeover and to make it look more natural. How good are Oto cats for my tank?
I am planning to use my spare critter keeper to use as an acclimation tank so we don't run into problems there. (hopefully petco gives me some extra tank water) I know that they eat algae wafers and cucumbers, and I think that will work just fine for me. I just don't want to get them home and have them die a day after I get them into my fish tank.
