Talking changing tanks while breeding?

Hi, can anyone tell me if it's advisable to change tanks while my male has a bubble nest? we're new to this and want to give the bettas a bigger enviroment but don't want to disturb the nest if it's going to upset him.
thanks, any information will help bambam

Hello and welcome to FishForum. It won't upset him to disturb the nest. He'll just build a new one.

Moving him to a new tank before spawning/eggs: This is fine.
Moving him w/eggs/fry: NO NO NO, the fry need to be about 3 weeks old to move to larger tanks, that's why you use a 2-20 gallon tank, if in a 20 gallon tank you can just leave the fry there.
