Unhappy Something bad was bound to happen

everything had been going so perfectly with my fish rescue, too perfectly. Today I brought home the last two fish, and I was commenting to my friend about how beautiful and healthy the black and blue one was. Well I got home, and put the fish in their temporary tanks. poor little blue guy got a half gallon. anyway, his tank was too full to cary back to my room so I partially put on the lidd and left a tiny bit open for the water to comethrough. too much I guess. Poor little guy went right down the drain too quickly for me to do anything. I cried for about an hour strait! good news tho is there is now room in my basement for a small setup with a couple of tanks.I am still pretty bummed about the lost betta tho cuz he would have gotten "adopted" right away!

This happened to me once... kinda. It was when I keep my betta in a vase. It had kind of a curved top that made it hard to get the fish out. I was in a hurry so I decided to pour out a couple inches of water off the deck. My betta fell out and dropped about 15ft. Thankfully he fell onto some ornamental grass and survived. He was fine and I still have him. Never again.... !
