Temporary Vase?

Hi, I have two bettas right now. Once one of them gets better from fin rot (he is from Walmart ) They will be in a divided 10 gallon tank.

I'm thinking of getting another in the next month or so. I don't have the money to buy a new tank, so I might just buy a large vase to keep him in until I can find a cheap/free tank. They are on Craigslist very often! So it probably wouldn't be long. I would do water changes very often. Because I have one getting better from fin rot, I'm used to doing really often changes.

So, would it work to keep him in a Large vase for a little while? A month tops.

Sure, you can put a betta in a vase for a month or so. Maybe you can find a vase that holds around a gallon. Yeah, frequent water changes are needed but that won't be any problem. :)

Most of mine are in jars, so ya it's fine. As for a cheap tank, how much did you want to spend?

If you don't already have one, try posting on craigslist or freecycle (if your community has one) that you're looking for a free or cheap fish bowl or vase that is at least a gallon. I'm sure you could fine something for free pretty quickly.

You could also get a $3 jar (1 gallon) from walmart.

I think my mom has some 1 gallon jars. I could use one I bet. I also have a small, clear, storage bin that I might be able to use. I have to see how much it holds first. Thanks for your help everyone. Yeah, my dad is on Free cycle a lot, so I told him to watch for a fish tank or supplies.

The container is exactly a gallon. It needs a plant still. Does it look good? Yes, there will be a lid on it. With air holes.
