So I have a 20 gal tank and I am wondering whether or not I should get a Beta fish and put it in there or just some other type of fish. I am not sure if 20gal is to big for a beta fish to have or what as I am not familiar with them. I have always been fascinated with these fish and have been reading the threads to get a better understanding. Thanks!!
No tank is too big for a betta IMO. Were you going to put other fish in with it? If its going to be just the betta, why not divide it and get two? Bettas are very addicting. lol Welcome to FishForum, by the way.
It can never be too big for a fish, but I gues it could kind of get lost in there and not have much to watch. But if you want there are many different kinds of fish that can live with a betta. Or a more difficult/risky option is trying to make a female sorority of 6-8 female bettas. That could lead to issues because they might fight but you could try.
