Question How about filter to gallons

I was wondering if I could do this. There is a filter I'm planning on getting and it's for 5-15 gallon tanks. I am suppose to be getting a 10 gallon, this should work fine right?

I know they have 10-20 gallon tank filters, but I wonder if that would be too much for a Betta anyway. I'm thinking if I get the filter for a 5-15 gallon, it would probably slow things down a bit.

Thoughts?

If you don't have plans to add lots of fish, one betta is really not that messy.
The filter should work out fine.

I was planning to add 3 Otos eventually to the tank. Would that be okay?

A sponge filter should suffice.
