first he was in an idy bidy bowl and seemed VERY happy he was in the small bowl for a few nights and was constantly blowing bubbles and swimming around and spreading out his tail fins (not flaring). i put him in a 5 gallon bowl (i think its five gallons it holds 25-30 litres but i only filled it up with 20L) the heater is set to 28 C but the thermometre says 24 no matter where i put it in the bowl
all his water levels are perfect
but all he does is sit at the top of the tank looking very sad and deshevelled he barely swims around and has recently began flashing movements and
suddenly and very
quickly swims away from my hand if it accidentally gets to close while im feeding him, he eats half his food and then spits it all out (this started first with bloodworms and now its all his food) he never comes and greets me when i walk in the room like he used to he doesnt look bloated or has any spots on him, he doesnt have any trouble staying upright but he sometimes floats upwards or downwards and his fins are never spread out i dont know if its considered clamped though, his fins are in perfect condition everything is normal except for his behaviour and eating im really worried about him cos i cant work out what the reasons are for the flashing ssudden loss of activity even though he is in warmer water, lack of interest in anything even new stuff to hide behind and swim through all stuff which would have thrilled him about a week ago this has all been a downward spiral started slowly and is getting worse he just seems so off! like a completely different fish!!
could it just be the change of bowls its coming close to a week since i switched him over
AM I OVERREACTING?
do you think my fish is sick or stressed
could it be maybe a parasite or early SBD
where does a fish get bloated? he is a little round after his head
even though i have only had him a week this is seriously out of character and started about five days ago
sorry this was so long i babble a lot and any questions shoot i really want to fix this
