Question Salt and Heat

Hi All,

Few questions....again. I'll try to be short.

--How much salt/gal should be used?
--Which med is best to fight fin rot?
--And, could a reptile heater be used to heat water? I was thinking, since heat rises, to put a reptile heat pad on our counter (marble) and set the fish on it. I tried a heating pad and it seemed to work really well. (Was an emergency as the water was at 70*) Velvet has buried himself at the bottom sometimes.

Thanks Again!

Wait? Does ur betta have velvet or is that his name?

As for the salt, go with 1 teaspoon per gallon (keeps ick, velvet, and anyother parasite from attacking)

I have used Bettafix for finrot before and it worked fine. Other people haven't had good luck with it, though.

HIS name is Velvet. My son thought, and rightfully so, he was so beautiful. Aren't they all!
