Hope all my question's don't bother you. Just tryin' to make sure I know what I'm doing. x3

I have a few more questions before I set up my 10 gallon.
Since i'm going to set it up tomorrow, and my friend hasn't got around to making a divider for me I was wondering how to make one on my own. I remember seeing a post about home made divider's on this site, but I can't remember where it was.
Can someone post the URL?

Also, I was wondering if it'd be okay to put some cory's in with my betta?
I wasn't sure if they needed a filtered tank or not. And if so, how many should I get?
I haven't got the chance to go to the pet store and see if they had any, so I guess I'll wait til I go to get the stuff I need to set up my 10 gallon.
I was also curious about the cost of cory's?
About how much do they usaully cost?

One last thing.
I've heard aquarium heaters can break when taken out of water?
Not sure if that's true, so I figured i'd ask you all. x3
If they do, are there types that won't?

As far as the heaters, I think it's suggested that you unplug it if you remove it or water from the tank (you'd want to anyway to avoid a possible shock!) I think that's what could cause the heater to break.

Yeah, any time you have to have your hands in the water to do any kind of maintainance, you need to unplug the heater to avoid getting electrocuted.
