White colour

I am a bit concerned about my betta. He is mostly red but he has a bit of white on the tips of his fins, a few tiny dots (about the size of his scales) on his body, and quite a bit of white under his chin.

The white usually goes away at feeding time but when he is finished it comes back.

He is building a bubble nest so I dont think he is sick, but i just want to make sure before it may be too late.

If you can, a picture would be really helpful to show what you are talking about.

Does it appear to be a part of him like his coloration or does it look like its attached to him like salts grains or fungus or something.

Marble marble marble marble! I think he might be a marble betta who is centered around food (of course).

Does it appear in patches? It could be ich. He will seem find, but just to be safe you may want to medicate him. Ich treatment tablets are available at petsmart for about 5 dollars and I think 8 come in a pack. 1 of them will sufice for a 10 gallon tank. If you do decide to use it, be sure to break the tablet if you tank is smaller.
