1 gallon

Ok, I saw a few really pretty betta's in petsmart the other day, but I wasn't able to convince my grandma to let me get another one. (man they really do get addicting) I have a 1 gallon container and I was wondering if I would ever be able to keep a betta in there. I know it's not the best, but that's all I have. It is better than the much smaller containers they are in. I have some questions about it-
1. How many water changes weekly should I do and how much?
2. How would I be able to heat the water?
3.Would 1 fake plant be good enough in there?


I know that 1 gallon isn't much, and it's nothing compared to my 10g tank, but I feel so sorry for them. Thank you.......

I have 3 of mine in gallon containers.I would do 1-2 full water changes a week. I don't have heaters in mine. I don't know if you can use one of those Tetra mini heaters in a gallon or not. but maybe. Maybe someone else can comment on that. I have a small fake plant in mine. As long as it doesn't take up a whole lot of room, maybe put it in a corner. I think you'd be fine, just keep up with water changes. :)

Do you have one Betta in the 10 gallon? If so you can always divide that and put another Betta in there.
I've never had a 1 gallon so I don't know what would work as far as heating and decor.

I have 2 bettas in the 10 gallon already. 1 female and 1 male.

So as long as I changed the water 2 times a week, it would be ok to put him in there?
