i just dont know what to name him :( its a male and he's red.

any suggestions?
Same here this is the first time I owned betta fish. I named my first one "Killa" and the second one "Busta" From what I've heard, there's really not a whole lot of maintenance in caring for these types of fish.

I got some frozen brine shirmp, and i defrosted a cube of it, then i fed squirt like 2 of them, and he got the first one without even looking at it, and then he started to taste it as he ate the other one, and spit it out and swam away... i guess he doesnt like 'em. So i gave the rest to my frogs.. :) so i have a box of them in the freezer... just in there... never to be used again! hahaa.

It's because you just got him and he's not used to his environment. My betta didn't eat anything for about 4-5 days because he was getting used to everything. Don't worry, he'll eat them.
