Question Fin rot?
My boyfriend adopted this betta yesterday from his dad's coworker who didn't have time to take care of it. We are trying to figure out if the clear portion of the tail is the beginning of fin rot or just part of the fish?

Do you think he should go ahead and treat his lil guy for it?

If the fin is clear, I think that is new growth of the fin.

Why would he be having a new growth? Would he have some how lost a chunk of his fin?

I don't know. It could be that he just has a clear spot on his fin. Some bettas do have clear places on their fins.

I think its just the color :) I dont think it would be fin rot.
