Will do, thanks again! I just helped a friend set up a 5g tank for her betta. She had him in a little "betta" bowl that she bought at the pet shop because the sells guy told her it would be good enough. It wasn't even a 1/2g bowl. She was amazed at the change in him once he had more space and some heat.

I really wish pet shops would have fact sheets to give to new owners or have some sort of guide lines printed on the sales racks. Most people who have never had a betta don't know how to care for them and they believe all this "mud puddle" crap they hear.

Of course as long as there are Betta bowls on the market people will continue to think it's ok to keep a fish in small dishes like that.

The thing that really gets me is this statement in the item description

"These tanks are all put together and ready for the lucky fish that will find a happy home in them. Made for Betta fish only!!!"

Nothing Lucky or Happy about the poor fish that succumb to being kept in one of these

My ex husband bought a VT for our 2 1/2 year old and put in one of those small bowls from petsmart. I talked to him for an hour about to take care of a betta and the he should really get a 5 gallon tank. So he didn't listen and he text me that it died. Smh

Silly etsy seller, that's a wine glass for wine not housing a betta. That's really sad...

Look at this one.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...pf_rd_i=507846

Read these 2 comments. These people are idiots!

this is beautiful and is not too small for a beta. These fish require small spaces or else they get too much excercise and they start losing there color and tail. i know this from experience. It is not TORTURE for them as some say. However the bubbles are too much for the fish to handle he can't swim, that is torture. So I don't use the air pump. Other than that its lovely.

To all of you saying not to use this, Bite Me. It is a fish, it's brain is not as big as it's eye. It does not know anything, let alone that I am a cruel human being. If you like this tank get it!

I have no idea but the comments left by a couple of people really have me upset. You should have to pass a test before you can own any animal.
