Hood lights

Okay, I have 3 tanks up and running right now. Two are fine, but one is worrying me.
The hood lights make the water temp quite warm. So warm in fact That I don't even have to run the heater. It actually gets warmer then it needs to be.
So I figured I could find bulbs that didn't get that warm. Well, that isn't as easy as it sounds. I've looked at websites and I can't seem to find what I'm looking for, or it's out of stock.

All I need are some bulbs that stay cooler, does anyone know where I can find some? The type of hood I have is a 10 gallon with two lights (if that makes sense).

Are they incandescent bulbs? I have a 10 gallon hood that originally had the incandescent light bulbs but I found some replacement compact fluorescent bulbs which run much cooler. I found the bulbs at Walmart but I've also seen them at Petsmart.

I've been looking around for fluorescent bulbs, but haven't really seen any. I should check my Walmart soon. Thanks!

I found them in the fish dept. at Walmart.

I found the bulbs! It doesn't say on the package that they stay cooler, but I'm giving them a try.
Of course with my luck I bought two and one doesn't work. So, I have to return it and get a new one.

Wait! betta fish need light? Do they do ok in a darker place? Is it mean to have a betta fish in a darker room?

What's the wattage? I bought a pack of two 15 watt bulbs yesterday for Merlin's tank and they keep his tank warm, but not too warm. Stays around 80. But yeah, I found them at Walmart for less than $2. But i see you found some, hope they work.

You probably got the Aquaculture bulbs. Those were the ones that made my tanks too hot.
I got the florescent bulbs, they were about 5 something each.

I don't remember the brand, lol. But actually his tank hasn't gone above 80...
