Not sure what could be the problem

We bought Lilith a little less then a week ago. We recently put her in a divided 10 gallon tank. Her sister is completely different from her. Her sister eats and is very active. Lilith on the other hand isn't active and won't eat.

I expected her to be stand off-ish because she is in a new environment, but she hasn't changed.
She usually just hangs around in the leaves. She doesn't seem to have SBD. Her tank is at a steady 78-80 degrees. Her scales are fine. I've even gotten a light and checked her out.

Any ideas of what could be the problem?

Awww....love the names! Scarlett an Lilith! Fabulous. I am sorry that I don't know much about Bettas, as I am a first time owner. However, sometimes my fish, a male, Gibs, also hides off in his leaves or in a little hole at the bottom of his tank where a filter tube used to be and when he does this for long periods of time, I frequently will coax him out and sing to him or play with him (he likes to chase my jewelry) until he appears to be more active and willing to eat. I don't know if this will help you. I'm just going off my very limited experiences with my one fish. Maybe taking her and putting her off somewhere on her own will help her out of her funk. Either way, I wish you luck with your precious Lilith and hope everything turns out okay!

I think I figured out what the problem is. I'm thinking Lilith has Dropsy. Yes, I know it's fatal. Her scales are raised, but only slightly. You have to look good enough to see it.
She must have had the issue before we even bought her since it hit so suddenly.
I've quarantined her and I'm hoping she'll pull through but I know what the outcome will be. :'(

:( Thats so sad! Just put her on special meds and hopefully she will pull through this. Update whatever happens!

I'm sorry about Lilith. There ARE meds that you can treat her with but you're right,it is fatal.:(

She passed soon after this post. Poor girl didn't have a chance. I feel bad, but I'm glad she isn't suffering.
She was a beautiful little girl, she will be missed. :(
