Question Filter, or no Filter?

Hmm. I put Cosmo in a 1 gallon tank, and it has an underground filter. The filter runs a little too strong for a little betta that i just got yesterday. So i took out the filter, and he just has a fake plant in there now. I kinda want him to make bubblenests, and not be pushed around by it. But i think he liked to swim in the bubbles, and try to go in the filter, (but of course he cant cause theres little slits where the bubbles come out)
So what should i do? Filter or no filter?
Thanks.

I wouldn't put a filter in a 1 gallon tank.

If it came with the tank then I'm sure it's fine but you don't have to use it if you don't want to.

Maybe once he gets a little bigger and can stand that filter, than i'll use it. Now im gonna give him weekly 100% water changes :) is that good? or should i clean it more or less?

In a 1 gallon I'd say once or twice a week is fine.

Kay I have a question. I'm setting up the 10 gal tank tuesday for Fishy and the new fish I'm getting (the awesome one from aquabid!)..I was wonder how to clean it and such, like how often, how much. I can't get a filter for now. I'm working on getting the heater. I was also wanting to price a divider, can't find it on a site...Thanks

You can make your own divider. Here's a tutorial from Nataku: http://nataku.deviantart.com/art/DIY...ders-114876098

Hope that helps. :)

If you arent using a filter I would say 50% change every week, and a 100% change once a month!!
And you can get a divider at Petsmart for 10$! :]
