dont know what this could be! help!

i just came home from school and discovered a stringy like thing with 3 round things attached to it hanging from the front of my betta inbetween the 2 long fins in the front of his body

what is that? he didnt have it this morning when i left. he seems fine, hes swiming around n everything but ive never seen that on him.

Hmm.... well, how recently have you changed the tank? My fish always feel better after a tank change, if not, a pinch of salt and a little water conditioner seems to cure all sorts of Betta fish ails.
